Santa Fe Vista

This unique, 1-inch thick cast glass sculpture mimics the layers found in a desert skyline. Strips of clear and colored glass are layered and fused together, showing air bubbles trapped between the many layers of glass. The edges have been coldworked to a smooth finish, and its black-painted stand is custom-made to fit the glass which slots into the the channel at the bottom. One-of-a-kind and signed by the artist. Rainforest

This piece was created by carving into a block of wood, leaving the edges to serve as a frame. Then the interior was sealed with white gesso and filled with colored epoxy resin, which dried to a hard, glassy finish.
