To achieve the dazzlingly intricate textures of these ceramic wall sculptures, artist Vicki Grant hand-carves each unique form into porcelain before drying it on a slump mold to achieve the concave surface. After firing, Grant rubs oil pigments and painstakingly adds unique gemstone and pearl embellishments along the way—before finishing each with a clear protective coating, resulting in an eye-catching, vividly-surfaced aesthetic. Each disc has a 1" deep ring attached to the back, allowing it to "float" on the wall.
