Isan Neckpiece
This steel neckpiece centers on the Sankofa bird, the Ghanaian Akan symbol that teaches the importance of returning to the past to reclaim wisdom for the future. Deeply etched into the broad steel form, the bird carries an egg in its beak—an emblem of knowledge, inheritance, and renewal. Fused bronze powders in white, rose, and gold tones create passages of warmth across the darkened steel, and the egg itself is defined with 24k gold applied using Keum Boo, a technique rarely used on steel. Bold in scale and presence, the piece serves as both adornment and symbol. No clasp.
