Fired in the Raku tradition and displaying a terra sigillata exterior, this striking ceramic vessel's surface features burned-away horsehair applied pre-firing which leaves a distinctive carbon imprint. An eye-catching brass bead sits atop the piece, threaded with real horsehair. A one-of-a-kind work of art meant for display only. Not watertight This piece is coated with Terra Sigilatta. The same process used during the Greek and Roman empire on ceramic work. The piece is then burnished by hand to a satin finish.
