Naoya Arakawa Oval Crackle Vase

Each of Arakawa's pieces are defined by movement and light—most famously through his signature crackled finish, created by plunging hot glass into cold water to mimic the surface of a thawing pond. He hand-blows and shapes each form using scissors to rough-cut the edges, then refines them with flame to achieve a natural softness. Care Instructions: Hand wash only. Each piece is individually handmade, and natural variations in color, texture, size and finish are to be expected and celebrated.
