MANTA PILTI LOW CHAIR | Sculptural Carved Low Chair | Limited Edition
Ground given texture, then given a seat. Manta Pilti Low Chair brings the same conceptual focus, drying, cracking Country around Indulkana, to a seated, human-scaled form. Tanya Singer and Trent Jansen developed the piece within their broader Manta Pilti collaboration, working alongside Errol Evans and Maruku Arts over three years of Yarning between Railway Bore in South Australia and Thirroul on the New South Wales coast. Elevate Your Space with the Manta Pilti Low Chair Rather than the sharp faceted planes of the cabinet and credenza, the low chair's entire surface is worked into hundreds of small, rounded hollows, a dense, pitted texture recalling parched, cratered earth up close. Four splayed, tapering legs support a sculptural backrest and seat carved in one continuous gesture from a single American hardwood species, its silhouette softened where the surrounding cabinetry pieces are sharp. Materials: Carved American hardwood (walnut, cherry, or hard maple) Colours and finishes: Oiled American walnut, cherry, and hard maple Height: W617 x D678 x H740 Edition: 8 + 4 Artist Proofs Lead time : 4 months
