She consciously leaves the color gradation along the vertical stripe cut edges, and is also mindful of the curving marks on the vertical stripe, carefully controlling how much light goes through the design on this crystal glass. Kimiko Yasuda sources her crystal from a boutique glassworks in Otaru, Japan—the only studio making hand-blown crystal in the country.
