Many circles and checkered patterns embrace this vessel form. Layers of bright, pure acrylic colors are painted with overlapping, hard-edged shapes. These forms build upon one another, creating dynamic movement and invented patterns on every side of the piece. A lightweight dried gourd vessel becomes the canvas for this meticulously rendered artwork. Once dried, the gourd is opened and the seeds are carefully removed a protective matte varnish is applied. Each vessel is accompanied by a display stand, enhancing its presentation and allowing the different combinations of patterns to be appreciated from every angle.
