"Afternoon Echoes" is like a quiet horizon of luminous, transparent color, with turquoise and sky tones drifting into warm golds like late light settling over water; layered aluminum forms move across the surface in a flowing band of reeds and shoreline silhouettes, casting soft shadows that shift as you pass by the artwork. A three-layer construction gives the piece sculptural depth: brilliant, transparent solvent dyes are painted abstractly over the aluminum background beneath two raised cut layers, creating a dimensional drawing in metal. The hand-brushed aluminum is finished with satin lacquer. Ready to hang via standoffs allowing the work to "float" on the wall.
