'Shadow Line' Artwork

Shadow Line 2025 From the exhibition Tactile Dialogues, from MDW 2025 This piece expands on my concept for woven panelling/screens - exploring materiality, texture, and transparency. The piece is an artwork on its own, as well as a concept for a larger scale installation. Banana fibre is usually considered a waste product, and is left to degrade once the fruit has been harvested, so it is exciting to find another use for it. It is all hand dyed in the studio. Installation : This piece has screw brackets installed on the timber beam the work is hung from, which can sit over screws in the wall. Care : This piece is able to be ironed/steamed.
