Desk and Chair Duo — White Oak & Ceramic

This piece explores the form of the circle and the concept of continuity, where the desk and chair become one, with no visible break between the two functions. Born from a collaboration between a furniture designer and a ceramicist, it pairs solid white oak with veneered MDF and a series of colored ceramic inlays, marking each articulation of the piece with a distinct signature. The chair nests completely into the desk's cylindrical base, together they form one seamless shape, making the wood look as though it naturally folds back on itself.
