Oculus Chair

The Oculus Chair extends the language developed across the Scenarii Edition collection, where a recurring cross-section motif connects objects from tables to seating. This structural component creates a visual and constructive continuity throughout the body of work, combining architectural rigor with a sculptural presence. The orthogonal wooden structure is carefully assembled to reveal the irregularities , the depth and warmth of the walnut, while the mirror-polished steel legs contrast with a precise structural insertion. The cross-shaped base, signature motif of the collection, provides both stability and a distinctive graphic identity. An oculus carved through the backrest and seat establishes a visual axis through the chair. This opening sets the stage for the insertion of a precious element : a hand-crafted glass disc developed through glass-fusing experimentation. Delicately suspended by slender stainless steel rods, the glass element floats within the oculus and can pivot along its vertical axis.
