Falling Leaves

This striking piece was thrown by artist Joe Lee on the potters' wheel in two sections, which were then joined together and shaped; Lee then carved the leaf motif into the surface before creating the leaf-shaped cut-outs. The entire piece was dipped in a green celadon glaze and fired, resulting in a truly artful ceramic vessel.
