Within the body lies an inner chamber, while the outer layer is meticulously pierced into a lattice of tiny windows, requiring absolute precision at every stage. Any flaw in thickness or alignment could cause the piece to collapse during firing, making each successful creation an achievement of rare skill and perseverance. The surface feels as alive as it looks—a field of miniature sculptures where light drifts through the openwork and settles softly into shadow. Between the lattices, chilbo-inspired crimson dots are rendered evenly with red earth, adding a quiet vibrancy and depth to the serene celadon glaze. Above and below the pierced body, inlaid chrysanthemum motifs are carefully applied using the traditional sanggam technique.
