Blood Moonjar

This wheel-thrown vessel was thrown by artist Joe Lee on the potter's wheel in two sections, which were joined together and shaped on the wheel. He then carved the jar in his signature "Cityscape" pattern and sprayed the piece with a copper red glaze before firing; red copper glaze is quite finicky, meaning Lee had to use extra care when applying to achieve a uniform result.
