Biophilia I is in reference to the word "biophilia" which is an innate connection with the natural world, a deep bond that extends beyond the visible... reaching the very core of observation itself. In this new series, the maker shows how a connection takes shape as a persistent curiosity about the origin and design of forms, a continuous inquiry into the "why" behind lines, textures, and patterns. Within Biophilia, the artist features faces, creatures, and imaginary microcosms appear unreal, yet strangely inevitable, as if they had always existed on another plane of nature. The result is a body of work that challenges the boundary between what is seen and what is projected.
