Speaker Chair V.II

The Speaker Chair V02 explores the intersection of furniture, sound, and unfinished architectural material. Constructed from yellow birch formwork plywood, the chair deliberately retains the character of its industrial material. Visible knots, grain variations, and surface markings are treated as integral elements of the design rather than concealed imperfections. The result is an object that feels raw, utilitarian, and architectural, with its bold yellow surface giving the substantial form an unexpected visual intensity. Five working speaker drivers are integrated directly into the chair body, creating a seamless relationship between the furniture and its audio function. AUX and Bluetooth connectivity allow the chair to operate as a contemporary sound system while maintaining the visual language of an unfinished construction object. A Cross-Border Collaboration The chair is the product of a collaboration developed entirely at a distance: Studio S.B, led by designer Simon Barazin in Tel Aviv, defined form and proportion; 22F, the Kyiv studio founded by Bogdan Kryvosheya, engineered and built the piece. Both practices share a visual inheritance rooted in socialist-era and post-Sovie

Having the Time of Our Lives

"Having the Time of Our Lives" has 58 tiny, cast, sterling silver figures enjoying a wonderful time. The larger clock face is 9" in diameter. The quartz mechanism runs on (3) AA batteries (included) and will set itself during time changes. It really is "set and forget". The smaller face is 8" in diameter and contains a reverse mechanism, sometimes called a barbershop clock. One can tell the correct time looking in a mirror. You might fantasize about turning back the hands of time. The wreath-like circle on the upper right could represent a variety of experiences or the complexity of life. The scene on the lower left shows people enjoying themselves in an assortment of activities. Before the gemstones and beads were attached, the entire clock was immersed in a solution of sulfurated potash to obtain a permanent, dark finish. The clock was then waxed with paste wax.
